Hi, I'm Dawn Meredith, the
TM at
Tuscola. I've been with LTC since 1994. I was raised in this area,
so I have close community ties. Our
operation
has 17 drivers. 9 are company drivers; the rest are owner operators. We also employ
1 dispatcher & 1
terminal clerk. We all work very closely, so we're not only coworkers but also friends.
We
are a partner
with Equistar Chemicals & handle their bulk shipments of denatured
alcohol, ether, acetic acid, & vinyl acetate. Along with handling
their truck shipments, we also coordinate their rail shipments. Our trailers are
97% dedicated to their products, meaning that most
shipments are out loaded & back empty. 80% of
shipments deliver in the Midwest and southeast. The rest are deliveries in the northeast, Canada, Texas
& Colorado. We also work with Jones Hamilton, with 5 drivers
dedicated to this business. Most shipments are within
150-mile radius of us, allowing drivers to spend time at
home each evening.
Company drivers
gross salary range from $40-$50,000 per year. Owner operators
can expect to gross between $2,000 and $2,300 per week.
