Today, at LTC, Pete is continuing to develop a training and learning environment. The most basic step in this process is to have a comprehensive, current, vital, user-friendly policy and procedure system. To this end, he’s very much involved in developing and documenting all of LTC’s policies and procedures on the company’s intranet, in an internally created system called the INFO DEPOT. He’s also directing both the orientation and training of all new driver-associates, the company's Quality Systems, as well as serving on LTC’s Senior Management Team. Pete is also the company’s Quality representative and is very active in Responsible Care, preparing the company for Responsible Care Management System Certification. Pete is married to Sam Legere, has three grown daughters, Amy, Jennie, and Phoebe, has four absolutely wonderful grandsons – and one beautiful granddaughter. His home arrangement is rather unique. His wife is a retired art teacher and practicing artist living on Kelley’s Island, Ohio, in the middle of Lake Erie. When Pete can’t be found in Indy, he’s often on a ferry, splashing his way to or from their island home. |

| "Training, Development & Quality is always focusing on what we could be. To get where we could be, we have to con- tinually work on where we are. This means that associates, with their policies and procedures, are always in the process of becoming . . . and this is difficult. LTC is rapidly becoming a learning organization, an organization whose associates are learning to live with learning -- and are doing so, admirably! Such a learning organization will always be positioned for tomorrow because today is always evolving . . . and evolution becomes a way of life." Pete Legere | ||||||||||
