Lanny Wilhelm was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer on January 1, 1990.  Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager.  Lanny joined Liquid Transport Corp in 1982 and was responsible for restructuring the company into a leading nationwide transporter of bulk chemicals and related products.  He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Transportation.  He is deeply committed to safety, provides a comfortable and creative work place for all associates, and continually tries to educate the public about how vital truck transportation is to keeping America moving.

Lanny is a member of the Board of Directors for Spurrier National Corporation.  He is a board member of the National Tank Truck Carriers, Inc., and currently is serving as NTTC Chairman for 2007-2008.  Lanny is a board member on the Executive Committee of the Indiana Motor Truck Association.  He is a past Chairman of the Indiana Motor Truck Association.  He also was a member of the Governor’s Motor Carrier Advisory Board.

Lanny received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2000 award in Transportation for the state of Indiana.

Lanny has four grown children and five grandchildren.  He enjoys riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles and collecting classic cars.
